Who we are
La Maison de couture is a fashion design school based in Brussels. it specializes in eveningwear and bridal wear. It offers courses in Fashion design, sewing Patternmaking and fashion drawing.
It is open not only to students enrolled in its degrees, but also to anyone interested in taking its “à la carte” courses.
A weekly fashion design course adapted to each student’s level.
The training program comprises 2 levels: beginner and intermediate.
At beginner level, you’ll focus your research and suggestions on skirts, shirts and dresses.
At the intermediate level, you can imagine an initial collection of ten or so pieces.
Level 1
This course is aimed primarily at those who are passionate about fashion and dream of imagining their own garments and bringing them to life; what could be more exhilarating than learning to bring your ideas to life, to develop them; and to do this, learning to feed them with the creations of others, with the history of fashion; also learning about the different categories of fabric, their uses, their characteristics; learning about colors, harmonies of colors and materials;
All this, combined with freehand drawing, solid colors and much more, makes up the content of the first-level program.

Rate
1400 euros.
Level 2
If you already have a good knowledge of drawing, and have already done some stylistic research, then Level II is for you. In this program, you’ll explore your own style and create a collection based on the theme of your choice. This work will be carried out in stages, from the initial search for inspiration to the creation of technical data sheets for the models you have imagined; in drawing, you will learn how to create your own silhouettes on the computer.

Magazines, fabric samples, color tools.
Materials and other costs borne by the student
Drawing materials and Fashion design renderings; for the 2nd year, a computer and the Illustrator program.
