Last Thursday, students from La Maison de Couture<\/strong> visited the Rococo<\/em> exhibition at the Modemuseum Hasselt<\/strong>, a key stage in their week devoted to accessory design<\/strong>. Each student has to design a project including at least a hat and a stole<\/strong>, drawing inspiration from both historical and contemporary references. <\/p>

The exhibition showcased all the richness and fantasy of Rococo: fine lace, ribbons, sculptural ornaments, play on volumes, powdery colors… A real source of inspiration for creative and expressive accessories. Students were also able to discover the film produced by the museum<\/strong> around the exhibition, extending their immersion in this refined aesthetic universe.

Following this visit, the students had the chance to take part in a hat workshop<\/strong> led by Anne Vannieuwenhuyse<\/strong>, milliner and new teacher at La Maison de Couture. On the program: basic modeling techniques, approaching shapes, manipulating materials and exploring volumes – a concrete first step towards making their own creation.

This full day, combining cultural discovery and professional practice, enabled the students to enrich their outlook and nurture their creative process.
