Who are we?
La Maison de Couture is a Brussels-based fashion design school specializing in the creation of eveningwear and bridal wear.
We offer training in fashion design, sewing, patternmaking and fashion drawing.
Our courses are open to students enrolled in our degree programs, as well as to anyone wishing to take an “à la carte” course.

Would you like to master the assembly of a tailored jacket, but are reluctant to go it alone?
This one-week seminar will teach you step-by-step the essential techniques for creating an elegant, structured jacket, with professional finishes.
An ideal course to hone your tailoring skills.
Equipment required
Materials needed:
- ARISTO Set Square
- Fine needles & embroidery needles
- Base thread (same color as the fabric)
- Contrasting basting thread
- Thin, clear nylon thread
- Tape measure
- Pencil or mechanical pencil
- Clear tape, eraser
- Fabric scissors
- Fine-headed pins
- Seam ripper

Seminar fee: €900
Payable upon registration (on-site or by bank transfer). Our bank account information is listed on the registration form.
The price includes the main fabric of the jacket as well as the lining;
The jacket is made in standard size 38.
Other supplies—such as interfacing, thread, buttons, and epaulets—are the student’s responsibility.
