Located in the heart of Brussels, a stone’s throw from Rond Point Montgomery, La Maison de Couture is a private school specializing in teaching fashion design, pattern making and professional tailoring. Our school offers a structured learning environment, where creativity, precision and craftsmanship take center stage.
We support each student, whether a motivated beginner or an already experienced profile, in building genuine technical and artistic know-how applied to fashion and haute couture.
Our training programs
The school offers two main training cycles, as well as “à la carte” courses for those who wish to train without committing to a full cycle.

This advanced program is designed for students who already have sewing, Patternmaking and drawing skills. The aim is to master the making of made-to-measure formal wear, evening dresses and bridal gowns.(lamaisondecouture.be)
The curriculum includes specialized workshops – sewing noble fabrics (lace, organza, crepe, etc.), tailoring, assembling jackets, bustiers, meticulous finishing, etc.(lamaisondecouture.be)

For those not aiming for a full diploma, the school offers individual or modular courses – Patternmaking, sewing, fashion design, accessory creation – to be taken à la carte according to your availability.(lamaisondecouture.be)
- For initial training (2 years), no sewing prerequisites are necessary – beginners are welcome.(lamaisondecouture.be)
- For the “Luxury and Haute Couture” specialization, admission is by individual interview. Candidates are expected to master the basics: simple Patternmaking, basic garment assembly, fashion drawing(lamaisondecouture.be).
- The school sometimes organizes open days or information sessions, allowing you to discover the workshop, meet the teachers and students, and ask any questions you may have before enrolling(lamaisondecouture.be).
Registration & fees
- For initial training (Fashion design / Model making / Sewing): €5,900 for the 1ʳᵉ year, €6,400 for the 2ᵉ year.
- For the Luxury & Haute Couture specialization (1 year): €6,800.
- Payment terms: 30% deposit on enrolment, balance to be paid in instalments over the course of the year. For students from the European Union or outside the EU, special conditions apply (financial guarantor or full payment for non-EU students).
- The fee covers administrative costs and personal accident insurance.
- Basic materials (sewing machines, cutting paper, etc.) are provided by the school. Students are responsible for their own supplies (threads, interfacing, fastenings, etc.) and, ideally, a sewing bust.
Created in 2010 by Isabelle Cattelat and Fabienne Thomas, La Maison de Couture is a fashion design school specializing in eveningwear and bridal wear. It welcomes small groups of motivated students with a passion for Haute Couture.
It offers two training programs, the first at beginner level: the two-year fashion design, pattern making and sewing initial training, and the second at advanced level: the 1-year Luxe et Haute Couture .
Its stimulating pedagogical approach enables students to benefit from an individualized training program as they progress in their studies, enabling them to develop their creative potential.
In addition to diploma courses, La Maison de Couture also offers the possibility of enrolling in one or more individual courses throughout the year , or even combining them. For example, sewing and Patternmaking, Fashion design and drawing, etc.
