Who are we?
La Maison de Couture is a Brussels-based fashion design school specializing in fashion, eveningwear and weddings. We offer training in fashion design, sewing, patternmaking and fashion drawing.
Our courses are open to students enrolled in our degree programs, as well as to anyone wishing to follow an “à la carte” course.

The Chanel seminar takes place every year over the course of seven afternoons on Tuesdays, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The professor announces the seminar dates at the beginning of the year.

An emblematic piece of French haute couture, the Chanel jacket fascinates with its refined finishes, specific assembly and use of tweedThe noble and demanding material. Even experienced seamstresses dream of unlocking its secrets.
This seminar will teach you step-by-step how to create a Chanel jacket, exploring all the essential assembly stages.
The Chanel jacket we are offering can be made in one of the two available sizes (T38 and T44) using a selection of fabrics provided by the atelier.

- Base thread (same color as the fabric)
- Contrasting basting thread
- Thin, clear nylon thread
- Tape measure
- Pencil or mechanical pencil

- Seam ripper
