creating, experimenting, asserting an intention
A week dedicated to accessories: creating, experimenting, asserting an intention
From November 24 to 28, our training program enjoyed a creative interlude devoted entirely to fashion accessories. The aim was to explore accessories as a means of expression in their own right, capable of transforming a silhouette, conveying a message and embodying know-how.
At the heart of the week was a common thread: the creation of an embroidered stole, designed and built from A to Z by the students.
An embroidered stole, designed as a complete project
Rather than focusing solely on technique, we opted for a global approach: making the stole a genuine creative project, where every decision counts.
The students worked on :
- Form and volume: proportions, fall, intention (enveloping, structuring, highlighting…).
- Fabric selection: material, hand, transparency, fit, use.
- The embroidery theme: narrative, symbolism, references, moodboard.
- Creating embroidery: composition, placement, rhythm, density, relief.
This process enables us to move from an idea to a coherent finished object, with a logical design and a demanding finish: the accessory is no longer an “add-on”, it becomes a central element of the wardrobe.
Embroidery: telling stories with thread
Embroidery played an essential role in the project. It invites us to slow down, observe and adjust. It also requires making choices: where to place the motif, what scale to adopt, what intensity to give, how to interact with the material.
As the days went by, the projects took very personal directions. And therein lies the richness of the exercise: with the same medium (the stole), different universes, sensibilities and stylistic intentions emerge.
Next session: June 2026
This “accessories” week confirmed one thing: learning to create an accessory means learning to think through a complete project, from concept to choice of materials, from design to realization.
The next session will take place in June 2026. If you like the idea of an immersive, hands-on format, guided by design and craftsmanship, this will be the perfect opportunity to dive into the world of accessories.
