Founded in 1879 by Edmond Hurel, Hurel is a French family business that has stood the test of time, preserving its exceptional know-how. Initially specialized in embroidery, Hurel has extended its expertise to silks, wools and lace. Today, it supplies top-quality fabrics to the world’s leading fashion and ready-to-wear houses. Our students will have the opportunity to explore Hurel’s varied collections, including plain and ennobled silks, velvets, embroidered fabrics and fancy tulles. This immersion will help them grasp the importance of “Made in France” quality and natural fibers in textile design.

Since 1887, Sophie Hallette has been synonymous with high-quality Calais-Caudry lace. This house has dressed fashion’s most iconic silhouettes, offering lace and tulle of unrivalled finesse. Our training courses include an in-depth study of lace-making techniques, enabling participants to understand how these delicate fabrics are created and integrated into Haute Couture creations. Since 1885, Maison Henry Bertrand has been renowned for its luxury fabrics and refined silks. Soieries Cheval perpetuates the Lyonnais tradition of fabric applications, combining artisanal techniques with an industrial dimension. Specializing in the design of exceptional fabrics, this family-run business works with luxury houses, Haute Couture and high-end ready-to-wear. Our training courses immerse participants in Soieries Cheval’s unique know-how, including traditional printing techniques and the creation of original designs, enabling them to understand how innovation can be integrated with respect for tradition.
